Giant Ego

Giant Ego was a composite I made using a picture of a girl and a room. The images were taken to be combined together, but had many issues they made it hard to combine, such as lighting, color, and focus. I used many techniques and tools like adjustment layers, layer masks, and clipping. This was a very long process, but the end result came out really well.

Crappy to Snappy Part II

This is my Part II of the Crappy to Snappy Project, this is the "snappy" version. This is the better/revised version of the webpage that I have created from scratch. I looked at several resources for my inspiration and pulled ideas from them. This version is much better than the original is many ways. First, the logo in clear cut and defined, not covered or sidelined to another piece of information. Secondly, the information is placed uniformly and strategically so that the viewer knows what it is looking at. Lastly, the overall appeal of the webpage is better and keeps the viewer interested and has many visually appealing graphics to draw you in.

Crappy to Snappy Part I

This is a snapshot of the homepage of "Francisco's Mexican Restaurant" as it is right now on its current website. We were assigned to design a new webpage, logo, flyer, or another form of advertisement for a company in which their ad was.. not so good (crappy). I decided to pick this webpage of a local restaurant that I occasionally go to. This website clearly needs some work. The logo, for one, is very cheesy and gives the viewer the idea that the restaurant isn't professional. Secondly, the format of their information is outdated and has no visual appeal, no graphics to entice the viewer, and the information is all over the place. I plan to recreate the logo, make it more sophisticated, and I also plan to lay the information out in a more formal and appealing way that people can easily find what they are looking for and see the pertinent information.

Illustrated Map

This map of St. Augustine, FL was made from Photoshop Illustrator and I also used a follow along tutorial to create it. This project took me over two weeks to complete this project, it may look easy, but it is much more complex than one might think. I worked extremely hard on this project and am proud of myself for finishing it on time. We were told to pick a random place in the world and create an "Illustrated Map" of a certain area. We had to make a few buildings within the area and they had to have perspective, this was the most difficult task of them all. If I were to redo this project over, I would have worked harder on the buildings and given the land a bit more perspective.

This video is of me and my friend Mia Matsubara playing an epic form of rock, paper, scissors shoot. We first filmed this video in a green screen room, then went into After Effects and edited out the background and placed an image of a wall in our school. I learned many skills with this project, including; keylight, key color, masks, frames, and much more. If I were able to do this project over again I would try to find a way to not make us transparent, that was an accident due to trying to get rid of the green screen.
